A Two-Part Series
Foundations of Alignment:
A two-hour workshop on the subtle aspects of yogasana and alignment. Using biomechanical and yogic philosophical principles, we will focus on major joint actions, breath, and mudra to practice patterns that support a deep, sustainable, and satisfying practice. By combining slow, intentional movement with a curious exploration of asana, participants can practice skills to tap into an internal sense of alignment and meditative awareness. This workshop is a prerequisite for the Foundations of Vinyasa workshop. Appropriate for all levels.
Foundations of Vinyasa:
Part two of the Foundations series. In this two-hour workshop, we will explore and practice the defining features of Vinyasa. Combining breath, bandha, and drishti, we will examine the essential and subtle pieces that combine to create both the movement and the stillness of yoga practice. Using alignment insights, we will move slowly through a series of asanas so that we can remain curious and open to the subtleties of timing, breath, and the placement of our bodies and attention. Participation in Foundations of Alignment required to attend. Appropriate for all levels.
Two-part series $80.00
